Senior Portraits
From the high school's perspective, senior portraits are easy. They just want a small photo of you to include in the yearbook. But for most people, senior portraits are more important than that. They're a means of celebrating and commemorating your senior year, and they're a way of presenting yourself to the world as a young adult. That’s why you need someone who knows how to tap into what makes you unique — and capture that spark in every image.
Having your senior photos taken should be an exciting and personal experience. There's no right or wrong way to do them. Some seniors have them taken outside, while others will have them taken inside. Some want artistic backgrounds, while others want to stand in a field of flowers or pose by the side of a building. Some are formal, others are playful. Some seniors include things that are important to them, like a pet, or an instrument, a motorcycle, or their baseball glove. I enjoy working with seniors to create photos you'll cherish for years to come. I want to know what you're interested in and what's important to you. Our shoots are casual, relaxed and fun. It's a great time for seniors and their parents.

I strive to keep pricing for senior portraits as simple as possible. Rather than charge seniors a combination of session fees and confusing photo package deals, I charge a single fee based on the number of hours it will take to create your photos. This fee covers everything we do, from the pre-shoot consultations and planning through the entire photo shoot, the post-processing or digital image editing, and the selection of your final images. (The only thing it doesn't cover is the cost of printing physical photos.) Additionally, I don't place limitations set by many photographers. That means you'll have:
☼ No separate "sitting fees"
☼ No charges for transportation within the larger Madison area
☼ No outfit charges — you can change clothes as often as you'd like
☼ No additional "photo use permission" fees
☼ No "per image" charges — you get all the released photos
The easiest way to get started is to fill out my Senior Questionnaire. From there, we'll set up a meeting to discuss your needs and schedule your photo shoot.
